Happy ! Today we're branching out to highlight the Gondwana Rainforests 🍃

The Gondwana Rainforests - which straddle the Queensland and NSW border - are a protected World Heritage Area. They contain examples of major evolutionary and geological stages dating back to the Carboniferous period (~359-299 million years ago), including one of the largest surviving populations of Araucarians (the most phylogenetically primitive species of conifer in the world).

Thomas has made an amazing recovery from a stroke, "Let's Go for a Walk - Rebuilding body, mind and spirit after a stroke", by Thomas Graham book launch this Thrusday 13th March 6pm.
Thomas Graham's personal account of the rehabilitation process to restore his mobility and return to active, independent living after he unexpectedly suffered a stroke.

Through a programme of intensive physiotherapy, Thomas worked to regain his physical movement, rebuild his strength, and enhance his stamina. He wrote poetry to support his psychological wellbeing and embraced nature-based activities-sit spotting, forest bathing, walking and gardening-for spiritual sustenance to nurture a greater appreciation for life.

His journey of navigating a medical emergency with resilience and positive intent, supported by close family and friends, offers encouragement and hope to stroke survivors, trauma sufferers, and those entrusted with their care.

Look closely at the beauty and symmetry of the plant world as you walk. Try slowing down, and kneel closer to the flowers. What do you notice? Mt Field National Park has the most astounding variety of plants.

Deep gratitude to collaborating with Landcare ACT ‘women in nature’ program. Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary was alive with so much beauty, birds singing, extraordinary moths and an echidna enjoying the coolness of the tranquil lake. We meandered and joyfully explored, discovering life with all of our senses. Coloured wool invited all to recreate their experience through feltmaking. The joy of slowing down and noticing the beauty of our place ❤️🌏
