Our team at The Butler Canberra recently completed training session focused on understanding and supporting people living with dementia.

Delivered across two days to accommodate different groups of our care team, the session explored:
🧠 Effective communication and supportive approaches
💙 Understanding the person behind the diagnosis
🤝 Responding to changes in behaviour with empathy and confidence

At The Butler Canberra, we are committed to continuous learning and regularly provide opportunities for our team to strengthen their knowledge and skills. This ongoing education ensures we continue providing compassionate, person-centred care that supports our participants to live well at home.

A heartfelt thank you to Sarah Gibson, Dementia Support Coach with the DREAM (Dementia Respite Education and Mentoring) Project at Dementia Support Australia, for delivering such an engaging and informative session across both training days.
