Celebrating your Achievements 🎉

One thing I’ve been learning lately is the importance of celebrating myself.

I only focused on what I hadn’t accomplished yet and diminished myself when I achieved something great.

I would reach a goal, immediately move on to what I could do next, and barely acknowledge what I achieved. But growth isn’t just about chasing the next milestone it’s also about recognising the progress we’ve made.

Giving yourself credit for the small or big wins, showing up when you didn’t feel like it, staying consistent when things got hard, choosing growth over comfort, and continuing even when nobody was watching. Thats what matters.

Celebrating yourself isn’t about arrogance or pretending everything is perfect. It’s about appreciating the effort, resilience, and courage it takes to keep moving forward. It’s about recognising that every step, no matter how small, is part of the journey.

Today, I’m reminding you that you don’t have to wait for a major achievement to feel proud. You can celebrate who you becoming along the way.

If you’ve been working hard, overcoming challenges, or simply doing your best, take a moment to acknowledge yourself. Progress deserves recognition, and so do you.

Have you always been chasing a number on the scales? ⚖️

Never happy with where you’ve been at in your own skin?

Have you always thought you were fat or overweight and not good enough by your own or someone else’s perception only to look back at what you looked like 10, 20, 30 years ago and wish you were there again?

If the answer to this is yes, you may be struggling with body dysmorphia.

Body dysmorphia is common amongst nearly all people, male or female, young or old, to some degree.

I believe this is caused when we place our worth on how we look as opposed to who we are, and we compare ourselves negatively to the outside world.

Usually, we are seeking some form of validation or affirmation that we are enough.

Body dysmorphia is the term I’m using in this post to describe dysmorphic thinking, not as a label, because I believe with support and inner work, these patterns can change.
