The Mind-Body Naturopath

The Mind-Body Naturopath ~ Mind-Body Healing, Inspiration and The Journey of Being ~ Conversely most physicians treat the body with no regard to the mind or the emotions.

Welcome to my page, I'm Dianna :)

- Naturopath- degree qualified
- Biology of Trauma Practitioner: Mastery Level Certified
- Somatic Healing Practitioner
- Certified Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) Practitioner. I support people to move through that feeling of something isn’t quite right, the inner chaos, confusion about what’s wrong, why and what to do; hormonal imbalances, tiredness, overwhelm,

stress and reactivity; to seek out the causes and support them to feel whole, healthy and calm. I work with people who are tired, burnt out, overwhelmed, stressed, have hormone imbalances, PMS, IBS, post-natal depletion and all the ways in which their body is telling them something is not right. "Most psychologists treat the mind as disembodied, a phenomenon with little or no connection to the physical body. But the body and mind are not separate, and we cannot treat one without the other.”

Dr. Candace Pert

What makes my practice unique is the extensive training that I have undergone to be able to support mind-body healing, and to be able to offer you an approach to healing that is beyond standard naturopathy, yet still encompasses all of the benefits of traditional naturopathic care. If you are interested in a truly holistic approach to healing and wellness, I invite you to send me a message here: https://www.diannamoroney.com/contact . May you find the peace that is your true nature.

Guess what these flowers belong to? I'll give you a clue, it's a vegetable... ➡️

Daikon!
I just found these and more growing in my garden, it's the first time I've grown daikon, so it's extra exciting!

I usually cook daikon chopped up into small pieces in soup, stews or stir-frys, and pickled daikon I've yet to try.

Daikon is a wonderful addition to the vege repertoire, and super easy to grow!

The natural world offers a rhythm that is different from the pace we can so often find ourselves moving at. A place to pause, look around and allow our attention to gently move beyond the thoughts and tasks of the day. Out of my head, I find a subtle reassurance in nature.

Sometimes, sitting by the water or walking beneath the trees can be enough to create a little more space within us.

As a naturopath and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I’m interested in the ways our environment, our bodies and our everyday experiences are woven together.

Nature can be one of those simple places where we come back to noticing what is here, right now.

No need to change anything.

A moment to be.

Gathering together a nurturing selection of plant medicines to blend into a custom formulation.

I work with plant medicines in the garden, the kitchen, and the clinic. Their quiet wisdom continues to inspire me, and each formulation is thoughtfully crafted to support the person before me.

I wanted something more embodied. Deeper into the felt sense of being human.
I didn't know exactly what it was yet.

After the birth of my second child, having immersed myself in motherhood for a period of time, we were in covid lock downs, and I felt the call deep within me. The spark of life that drives me forth, and it was something somatic.

I searched online and eventually found Somatic Experiencing. I didn't know what it was, but it was what I was searching for. I had a phone call with the organiser, I was eligible for the training, I applied and was accepted.

I had to wait 2 years for the training to start. I studied the Biology of Trauma for those 2 years. I moved from Adelaide to Canberra,  and finally I began the Somatic Experiencing Practitioner professional training in Sydney.

I met lots if new people, a cohort of 60 psychotherapists, psychologists, body workers and 3 Naturopaths (including me).

We learnt and experienced the threat response cycle, the physiology of trauma and what it needs to process traumatic events rather than holding them deep inside.
How our bodies can hold tension, stress, trauma in bracing patterns, breath, shut-down, cycling between fight or flight and shutting down, the freeze response, collapse in the nervous system and body, all that can be underlying our experience of ourselves and completely overlooked.. until we learn to see.. and then things can begin change.

Trauma often occurs in the absence of an empathic other. Healing happens in relationship.

A way of being. A presence. Slowly, gently, even when it's fast, safely being seen and felt and the nervous system can reorganise. You can feel it.

It's a process, a human journey that accepts all of you just as you are. You are not broken, you don't need to be fixed. The body knows how to live, and we know this when we work together.

And now, here I am all these years later, I have officially completed the 3- year Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) professional training.

As I work in this way, I am continuing to further my training. I have embraced this lifelong journey 🩵 and what it is to be a human, and to walk alongside you ✨️🩷💫

Somatic Experiencing (SE) Advanced level training completed in March 🎉

Over two intensive training weeks I have completed the advanced level of SE training. I didn't post an update after completing the first week in September, so here it is now!

✨️ The final weeks leaned into touch for supporting containment, coherence and to support completion of survival responses

✨️ Deep listening to the nervous system and body, deep presence

✨️ Working with syndromes and prodromes

✨️ Management strategies, what's beneath, and relational healing

+ so much more 💜 🙏

➡️ I have officially completed the three year Somatic Experiencing training program 🎉 More updates to come ✨️✨️✨️

Rose and Calendula hydrosol 🌹🏵

I started 2026 making beautiful herbal products in my kitchen 🩷

A hydrosol harnesses the aromatic oils from the plants and distills them into the water, which becomes a beautiful mist to calm and soothe the skin and smells amazing 💦

My children love a gentle spray of hydrosol before they go to sleep, feeling each drop as it settles on their skin.

I also support my clients to bring plant medicine into their lives in a practical and nourishing way. 🌿 This looks different for each person and is individualised depending on what you are curious about and where you might need some support in your body, mind and lifestyle.

May your 2026 be just what you need ✨️
