Advocacy matters because it protects the services our community relies on and it ensures government decisions are shaped by the real experiences of the people they impact. When we speak up together, we help safeguard inclusion, access, and opportunity for participants and families across Canberra, now and into the future.
A very special afternoon at Pegasus šš“
This week our Board Chair Sarah Queenan joined the Pegasus community in welcoming Senator Katy Gallagher. Sarah also shared how vital genuine collaboration and strong partnerships with government are to ensuring vulnerable people in our communities continue to receive the support they need. By working together listening to lived experience, planning for long-term impact, and investing in services that build inclusion and wellbeing we can protect whatās working, respond faster when needs change, and make sure no one is left behind. She also appreciated the opportunity to brief the Senator on the impacts the Drake Brockman Drive project will have on our facility, and the importance of protecting Pegasusā ability to continue supporting the Canberra community for generations to come.
Thank you to Senator Gallagher for being so generous with her time meeting our wonderful participants, families, volunteers and leadership team, and seeing Pegasus in action, you are always ready to help your community.
