According to our latest Pets in Australia report, most cats and dogs have received at least one vaccination in their lifetime. However, just 66% of cats and 77% of dogs have had a vaccination in the last 12 months, with cost and a perceived lack of need being the most common barriers for owners to continue vaccinating their pets.

Many vaccines need annual boosters to maintain protection, and pet owners should check with their vet to ensure that their pets remain protected from vaccine-preventable illness.

Veterinary medicines - including vaccines - not only help treat illness but are essential for preventative care, which supports both animal and human health.
