A national Senate Inquiry into epilepsy is now underway, and this is a powerful opportunity for our ACT community to be heard.

If you live with epilepsy — or support someone who does — we encourage you to share your experience. Your insight can help shape better care, stronger supports, and greater understanding across Australia.

📅 Submissions close 15 May 2026

Your submission doesn’t need to be long or formal. Simply share your story — what’s working, what challenges you face, and what needs to change.

Every voice matters. The more experiences shared, the stronger the case for improved services, safety, and awareness.

As March comes to an end, there’s just one thing left to say: thank you 💜

Thank you for mucking up for epilepsy, going purple and standing with the 270,000 Australians living with epilepsy.

From fundraising, wearing purple, sharing stories, to getting a little messy in the Purple Muck Challenge - however you brought purple to life this month, you made a real difference 🤝

Thanks to our awesome community, we can continue delivering vital support services, education, training and programs for people living with epilepsy and their families.

Be proud of your efforts, and keep bringing epilepsy into the conversation wherever possible. March may be over, but the impact you’ve made will be felt all year.

We hope you’ll join us again next year. Until then, remember: every bit of support helps change lives every day.

Thank you for making March purple 💜

Australia is lighting up purple this International Purple Day, 26 March ✨💜

Buildings and landmarks across Australia are lighting up this March to remind us all that epilepsy awareness really matters. It's a symbol of solidarity with the 270,000 Australians living with epilepsy, and demonstrates that even a small action can go a long way to making an impact.

If you see an iconic landmark lit up purple, snap a photo, post it on social media and tag Epilepsy ACT 📸📱

Let’s keep making March purple, together. Check out the illuminations in your area and light up dates at makemarchpurple.org.au/illuminations
