This morning compounding pharmacist Clare met with Alicia from TaperMate to discuss how we can help customers come off their antidepressants safely. As a compounding pharmacy we can collaborate with prescribers and TaperMate to provide tailored tapering doses of these medicines for our patients.

ACT Healths Japanese Encephalitis Vaccination Program extension is until the end of July - if you would like to be protected, reach out to our CareClinic pharmacist today!

The ACT Government is extending free Japanese encephalitis (JE) vaccination to 31 July 2026 for people living in the ACT travelling to high-risk areas in Australia 🦟
JE is a rare but serious disease spread by mosquito bites. It hasn’t been detected in the ACT, but the risk remains in other parts of Australia ⚠️

People eligible for free JE vaccination ✅
• aged 2 months or older, and
• are travelling to a JE high-risk area for outdoor activities like camping, fishing, boating, hiking, hunting or caravanning

You’re also eligible for a free vaccine if you ✅
• work with pigs or at piggeries or abattoirs
• transport or care for pigs
• work with mosquitoes or mosquito-borne disease monitoring
• work in laboratories handling the virus
• do prolonged outdoor work in high-risk areas (for example, flood clean-up)
If you think you’re eligible:
1. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist 👩‍⚕️
2. Tell them you need the government-funded JE vaccine (they may need to order it) 💉

Call ahead to check availability. An administration fee may apply.
You do not need a Medicare card to access the government-funded vaccine.

ACT residents remain eligible for vaccination if your travel to JE high risk areas is planned for after 31 July 2026.

Hi everyone,
In a little over a month, Esmond will be joining other members of the TerryWhite Chemmart family on the Larapinta Teal-Trek to raise awareness and support the great work that OCA does for our community.
The aim is to raise at least $3000 to help Ovarian Cancer Australia and if you would like to make a donation (tax deductible over $2) to the effort thats would be amazing.
It only takes a minute and any money you can give (no matter how large or small) goes to support a great cause to fund research, provide education and awareness to the community and support to individuals, family and friends with their own lived experience of ovarian cancer.
Another way you can contribute is via our TerryWhite Chemmart Ainslie in-store raffle. Grab your tickets to go into the draw to score some great prizes including an Instant Pot and Ainslie IGA Voucher, Champagne and Chocolates or a number of lucky-dip pharmacy mixed bags featuring products donated from our generous supplier partners.
Thank you, TWC and OCA really appreciate your support...
