30/05/2026
311 people joined us for Woden Town parkrun #33 on a cool, crisp Canberra morning.
Despite the cooler weather, participation remains remarkably strong! Across the ACT, every week in 2026 has so far attracted more parkrunners than the same week in 2025 — a great sign for the health of our local parkrun community. 🎉
This week also brought a significant milestone for Woden Town. Since launching in October, participants have now recorded more than 2,500 personal bests, with the 2,500th PB falling during today’s event! A fantastic 85 personal bests were recorded, ranging all the way from 18:41 to 48:01. Congratulations to everyone who knocked it out of the park this week.❤️
We welcomed 43 first timers to Woden Town, including 9 people completing their very first parkrun anywhere. We hope you enjoyed your morning with us and look forward to seeing you again soon.
Official milestones were celebrated by:
⭐ 25 parkruns – Richie Robinson, Georgia Tuffin and Anthea Bollard
⭐ 50 parkruns – Chieko Horiuchi
Volunteer milestones included:
🙌 25 volunteers – Barry Dobson and Alison Grist
And a special mention to one of Woden Town’s most familiar faces, Jillian Mitchell, who reached her unofficial milestone of 150 parkruns. Jillian has been one of our most regular volunteers since launch and has played a big part in helping Woden Town become the event it is today. Congratulations Jillian! 😊
