FAQ 2: Can children be treated at the Canberra Emergency Care Centre?
A. Yes, we can treat patients of all ages – from babies to adults. Emergency paediatric presentations can include fevers, infections, respiratory illness (including asthma), minor injuries and lacerations, gastroenteritis, and dehydration.
Canberra Emergency Care Centre has a dedicated paediatrics room with two acute paediatric bays.
Our department is staffed by highly experienced Nurses and Fellows of the Australian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEMs) — ensuring expert care.
Walk-ins welcome, open 8am-8pm 365 days a year, located in Turner, Canberra.
