Jobs & Skills Centre - Central Regional is running a FREE Apprenticeship & Traineeship Information Session in Kalgoorlie on the 16th September.

We'll be in attendance alongside the Disability Empowerment and Support Foundation (DESF) to discuss traineeship pathways into support worker roles and what a career in disability support looks like.

For those wanting to attend, you'll also be able to meet local employers, talk with TAFE lecturers, and see the campus, workshops, and classrooms for yourself.

SIL vs. SDA - the 2 acronyms everyone mixes up.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) relates to the NDIS funding to support participants with daily living tasks.

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) relates to the NDIS funding for the physical accommodation where SIL services are delivered.
