VIII. Justice - The Throne of Dharma (Shiva & Shakti)
Key: moral law, sacred order, karma, integrity, divine justice, fairness, truth revealed, correct judgment, ethical decisions, karmic return, divine balance, legal matters resolved, accountability, clarity of conscience, spiritual law in action.
Upon a radiant golden throne sit the twin forces of the cosmos also known as Bhavanı Shankara: Shiva, the silent witness of eternal truth, and Parvati, the living current of sacred action. Together they form the Throne of Dharma -the seat of cosmic justice where all deeds are seen, weighed, and returned to their source.
Shiva, ash-grey and crowned with the crescent moon, is the embodiment of pure awareness. His raised hand in Abhaya Mudra assures that truth, though sometimes severe, is ultimately protective.
The serpent that coils around him is wisdom: the cyclical, inescapable law of karma. Around his neck rest rudraksha beads, marking the measured count of time, cause, and consequence. He does not speak, for Justice does not argue-it is.
Parvati, luminous in red and gold, holds the lotus of discernment. She is the compassionate heart of Justice, reminding the soul that law is not cruelty, but alignment with life itself. Her ornaments are not vanity, but symbols of order, prosperity, and the sacredness of the manifest world. Where Shiva represents the unwavering principle, Parvati represents its living expression. Together, they declare: Truth is both stillness and action.
Behind them blazes a cosmic sun, a mandala radiating multidimensional awareness; the all-seeing eye of the universe. Before it, nothing is hidden. No illusion can endure in its light. The mountains rising behind their throne echo the immovable nature of universal law. Like the Himalayas, it does not bend for desire, fear, or fantasy.
This is not man-made justice. This is dharma- the natural order by which galaxies spin and destinies form. Beneath their feet lies the world of forms, resting quietly upon two footstools. All kingdoms, all choices, all humans and gods are placed below the law of balance they proclaim. To draw this card is to be summoned before the inner altar of truth. You are asked not: What do you want? But instead: What is right? The answer may be simple. It may be difficult.
But it will be exact.
Guidance: live in alignment with truth and truth will protect you. Act with integrity and the universe will act with you. Avoid the lie, even the comfortable one for Shiva sees it, and Parvati already knows the cost.
