Happy Dots is a Paediatric Occupational Therapy service for children of varying ages and conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other developmental conditions. We also specialise in assisting with handwriting difficulties and behavioural/attention problems.

Belonging is one of the most fundamental human needs. For children, it means being able to join a game at recess, share a joke with a friend, or simply tell someone "I want to play too."

But when communication barriers exist, belonging can feel out of reach. Our speech pathologists at Happy Dots work to break those barriers down—helping children access the everyday moments that make them feel included, seen, and valued.
Because every child deserves a seat at the table. Every child deserves to belong. 🤝

🗣️💬 Celebrating Speech Pathology Week at Happy Dots! 💬🗣️

Today we celebrated Speech Pathology Week 2026 and this year’s wonderful theme, “Communication Creates Possibility.” 🌈✨

Our Speech Pathologist Kate shared an informative presentation with the team, highlighting the important role communication plays in helping children connect, participate, learn and express themselves.

We then put our own communication skills to the test with some fun games of charades and Pictionary — with plenty of laughs along the way! 😂🎨

And, of course, no Happy Dots celebration is complete without some yummy snacks to share! 🍓🍪

A big thank you to Kate for putting together such a great session, and to all of our wonderful Speech Pathologists for the knowledge, care and passion you bring to our children and families every day. 💛

Because when we support communication, we create possibility. 💬✨

Growth isn't always a straight line. Sometimes it's a new word spoken for the first time. Sometimes it's a child asking for help instead of shutting down. Sometimes it's the confidence to raise a hand in class or tell a friend how they feel.

Our speech pathologists at Happy Dots walk alongside children as they develop the communication skills that build confidence and independence—step by step, day by day. Because when a child can express themselves, they don't just communicate. They grow. 🌿
