iDEA: 25 Years and the Next Generation was incredible! 💚
A huge thank you to our medical students, members and staff who worked so hard to bring this conference to life. Together, we created something truly special.
Over the weekend, we heard inspiring talks on the climate impacts of war, the environmental cost of AI, the importance of protecting our water systems, housing as a health and climate solution, caring for mental health during the climate crisis, the importance of the birds in our backyards, and so much more.
We shared insights from our ‘Gas and its overlooked health risks’ campaign and discussed the urgent, growing public health threat posed by air pollution from fossil fuels. Clean air is a human right and it’s our duty as health professionals to speak up and make clean air a global health priority.
Being surrounded by so many passionate, like-minded people from across the generations, all working together to improve the health of their communities, made us feel energised, proud and hopeful. The future of health care and environmental advocacy is in good hands.
Here’s to another 25 years of working together for a healthy planet for healthy people 🌏
