Proudly presented by Careon Services in collaboration with CALD Connections to create an inclusive and culturally responsive space where individuals, families, carers, service providers, and community organisations can come together to connect, learn, and access support.

This community-focused event aims to bridge the gap between multicultural communities and disability services by increasing awareness, accessibility, and meaningful engagement.
Many culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities experience barriers when navigating disability services and accessing information about available supports. Through this expo, we hope to create a welcoming environment that empowers communities with knowledge, resources, and connections.

These words aren't just jargon, they are the "test" used to decide what gets approved in your plan. Here is how to navigate them:

🔍 The 3-Step Test
The NDIS wants to know if the cost is fair, if the support actually helps you reach your specific goals, and if it’s a disability-related need rather than something a family typically pays for.

🔑 The Key to Approval
The secret to a "YES" is focusing on Independence. When you ask for a new service or tool, always explain how it helps you do more on your own. When you speak the language of independence, the NDIS listens.

Don’t let the rules confuse you. Our Support Coordinators are experts at translating NDIS-speak into plain English (or your preferred language), ensuring your culture and identity stay at the center of your journey. 🤝🌏
