Sometimes the hardest part isn't knowing that you might leak.

It's thinking about everything that could happen if you do.

Where's the bathroom?
How long will I be out?
Should I bring a spare?
Will I be comfortable?
Will anyone notice?

These are the "what ifs" that can quietly influence everyday decisions.

Having appropriate continence support can't predict every situation or remove every concern.

But for some people, feeling prepared can make a difference to how confidently they approach their day.

That's why we think continence conversations need to include more than absorbency charts and product specifications.

They need to include real life.

A comfortable fit starts with the right measurement.

For Svelte, measure around the widest part of your waist or hips and use whichever measurement is larger.

Medium: 75–130 cm
Large: 100–140 cm

The sizes overlap. If you fall within both ranges, Medium may feel closer while Large may feel more relaxed. Use the Find Your Fit page on our website for more guidance.

The right fit can make a meaningful difference to comfort, movement and how discreet the product feels under clothing.

Still unsure?

You know the bathrooms.

You know how long you can comfortably go between them.

You know exactly which café has one downstairs and which one has the accessible bathroom around the corner.

You probably don't even think about how much mental energy goes into planning around your bladder.

Until you don't have to.

Continence support won't necessarily remove every consideration, but having an option that works for your needs can make some situations feel a little less complicated.

And sometimes, a little less complicated is a big deal.

If you know someone who is always planning their day around bathroom access, send this to them.

What does “better” actually mean when it comes to continence underwear?

For Svelte, it starts with five principles.

01. Comfort first
02. Fully breathable
03. Made for movement
04. Fast-absorbing core
05. Crafted with precision

None of these features exist in isolation.

Together, they shape the experience of wearing Svelte throughout your day.

Because we don’t believe continence support should simply do its job.

We believe it should feel good to wear, too.

This is The Svelte Standard.

There are plenty of conversations around prostate surgery.
The procedure.
The recovery.
The follow-up appointments.
But there is another part that can be harder to talk about:
bladder leakage.
For some men, leakage can continue during recovery and affect everyday things like exercise, work, travel and socialising.
It's not necessarily something you expect to deal with, and talking about it can feel uncomfortable.
But needing continence support isn't a failure.
It's one of the practical realities some men experience during recovery.
If you're going through this, speak with your healthcare professional about your individual recovery and continence needs.
And remember: you don't have to navigate it alone.

Not all continence underwear is designed with the same priorities.

When you’re comparing products, don’t just look at the absorbency number.

Look at the whole experience.

✓ Does it breathe?
✓ Does it move with you?
✓ Is the profile discreet?
✓ Does the core absorb quickly?
✓ Will it feel comfortable after several hours?

Because a product can technically do its job and still be uncomfortable to live in.

Save this checklist for later.

Confidence looks different for everyone.

Sometimes it's walking into a room knowing exactly who you are.

Sometimes it's putting on an outfit you love.

Sometimes it's feeling comfortable in your own skin.

And sometimes it's something much smaller, like knowing you can get through a busy day without having to think twice about what you're wearing underneath.

At Svelte, we believe comfort and confidence are closely connected. When something feels right, fits well and works with your day, it can become one less thing to think about.

Because confidence isn't always about how you look.

Sometimes it's about how you feel.

💬 So tell us: what makes you feel most confident?

A favourite outfit?
Feeling comfortable?
Being prepared?
Getting dressed up?
Feeling healthy and strong?
Simply being yourself?

We'd love to hear yours.

There are a lot of assumptions about continence underwear.

That it has to be bulky.
That more absorbency is always better.
That it will feel hot.
That you have to sacrifice comfort for protection.
That continence underwear is only for older people.

But how much of what we believe is actually true?

At Svelte, we think better information leads to better choices. That means talking openly about what continence underwear is designed to do, what to look for when choosing a product, and what really matters when it comes to everyday comfort.

So we're starting a conversation.

💬 What's something you've always wondered about continence underwear?

It could be about fit, absorbency, breathability, overnight use, comfort, sizing, materials or anything else you've been curious about.

No question is too basic, and no topic is off limits.

Drop your question in the comments and we may answer it in our next Myth or Fact post.

Because understanding your options shouldn't feel uncomfortable.

What's one thing you refuse to compromise on?

For us, it's comfort.

But we'd love to know yours.

Is it:

Comfort?
Quality?
Sleep?
Freedom?
Time with family?
Feeling good in what you wear?

Tell us in the comments.

Because the things we refuse to compromise on often tell us a lot about how we want to live.

And that's exactly how we think about Svelte.

Svelte didn't begin with a business plan.

It began with a question.

Why does continence underwear have to feel so uncomfortable?

After childbirth, Svelte founder Elizabeth Anieto experienced first-hand how bulky, hot and clinical absorbent products could feel at a time when comfort and dignity mattered most.

That experience stayed with her.

So she started looking for something better.

Elizabeth tested and compared products available across Australia, visited factories overseas and explored international markets. She also sought feedback from continence nurses, clinicians and allied health professionals throughout the development process.

Japan stood out for its precision, material quality and attention to construction.

And slowly, Svelte took shape.

A product designed around a simple belief:

Continence support should support your life, not constantly remind you of it.

Today, that belief sits behind every Svelte decision.

Comfort first.
Breathability.
Movement.
Practical absorbency.
Thoughtful construction.

The starting point was personal.

The ambition was always bigger.

This is why Svelte exists.
