🌏 It’s World Spine Day!
Every year on 16 October, the world unites to raise awareness about the importance of spinal health and equal access to quality spinal healthcare worldwide.
Low back pain is the single leading cause of global disability, and the condition that the greatest number of people may benefit from rehabilitation. Over 4 million Australians are estimated to be living with back pain. Most people experience low back pain at least once in their lives, with older Australians most at risk. Roughly, 83.3% of Australians aged 61 and over have experienced back pain in the past year.
This year’s theme, ‘Spine Health for Life,’ calls on us all to prioritise our spinal health throughout our lives. This can include:
✅ Stretching daily
✅ Staying active
