'Can I lie on my tummy during pregnancy massage?'

The answer is: sometimes, yes.

With the right support system and careful assessment, my clients can comfortably enjoy time in a prone (face down) position during their treatment.

Other clients will feel much better side-lying and that's perfectly okay too.

After 13 years of working with pregnant women, I can confidently adapt each treatment to suit your body, your stage of pregnancy and your treatment goals.

Because the best position isn't the same for everyone, it's the one that allows you to feel comfortable, supported, and cared for.

How do you begin to settle into your massage?

Before the techniques and before the muscles respond to my touch, it starts with something much simpler ~ Your breath.

Noticing your breath is one of the most powerful ways to shift your body out of “doing” mode and into “receiving.”

As you lie on the table, gently bring your awareness to your inhale… and your exhale.

No need to change it, just notice it.

With each breath, your nervous system begins to slow. Your body starts to feel safe. And that’s where the real work begins.
