Meet Menchu! 👋🌿
We’re delighted to welcome Menchu to the Acacia Country Practice team as our newest Registered Nurse.
Menchu began her nursing journey in the Philippines before moving to New Zealand and eventually making Australia home.
Her connection with Charleville began in 2012, when she came to town for a 10-month stint at Waroona. That year was particularly special as she also took her pledge of Australian citizenship right here in Charleville. After returning in 2014, Menchu decided to make our community her permanent home.
Since then, she has worked across a range of nursing roles, including many years at Waroona and, more recently, with CWAATSICH. She brings a wealth of experience, with particular interests in health promotion, quality improvement, infection prevention and control, medication management and wound care. After more than 30 years in nursing, she can’t imagine herself doing anything else.
Most importantly, Menchu is passionate about helping patients achieve better health outcomes — and she’s looking forward to getting to know our patients, being of service and having a good yarn and a laugh along the way!
Outside of nursing, family is at the heart of Menchu’s life. She loves spending time with her husband and daughter, and they enjoy doing just about everything together — from cooking and gardening to grocery shopping, karaoke and Zumba!
We’re so pleased to have Menchu join the ACP family and look forward to the experience, warmth and care she will bring to our team and our patients.
Welcome to ACP, Menchu! 💚
