Sometimes the best seat at school is the one where friendship begins.

Milo found himself on the Buddy Bench, a special place that reminds students that no one should ever feel alone.

For some students, making that first connection can be difficult. That’s where a gentle paw, a wagging tail and Milo’s calm, non-judgmental presence can make all the difference. 🐶

No questions. No expectations. Just comfort, connection and companionship when it’s needed most.

Because sometimes all it takes to brighten a school day is knowing someone is there beside you.

A very special guest made a surprise appearance ….. beautiful Chilli!

Judging by the smiles, cuddles and excitement, it’s safe to say he has been missed!

For Chilli, these visits have always been about so much more than pats and cuddles. It’s about connection, friendship and those beautiful little moments that can completely change a student’s day.
After the journey our brave boy has been on, every small opportunity for Chilli to get out, see his friends and do what he has always loved is something we all treasure.

One special dog. One surprise visit. So much love.

“This is the BEST part of my week.”

Those few words say more than we ever could.

Mr P absolutely loves Milo’s visits and the moment these two friends are reunited, the smiles begin. Milo’s visit isn’t simply another activity on the calendar, it’s something he genuinely looks forward to.

A paw to hold. A beautiful friend beside him. A little conversation, plenty of cuddles and most importantly, that wonderful feeling of companionship and connection.

These are the moments that remind us why Therapy & Wellbeing Dogs can mean so much to our senior community.

International Dog Day with Chilli 💙

International Dog Day was a little different for our beautiful Chilli this year but one filled with some of the things and people he loves most.

First stop was another visit to the vet, where Chilli took the opportunity to catch up on a little reading while patiently waiting for the wonderful Dr Jenny Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital then it was time for his ultrasound and blood tests as we continue to closely monitor our courageous boy.

We are so grateful to say that Chilli has been managing well. ❤️

With the important stuff out the way, there was time for a very quick visit to McKinnon Secondary College to see some of his school friends who have been missing him. Judging by the pats and attention, the feeling was definitely mutual! 🥰🐾

And after a day of appointments and seeing friends, there was only one thing left to do…

Chilli out on the couch. 🛋️💤

For a boy who has given so much comfort, companionship and happiness to others over the years, International Dog Day was a beautiful reminder to treasure every day we have with him.

Happy International Dog Day, Chilli. 💙🐾

We recently had the pleasure of joining an Alzheimer’s group to talk about the many benefits pets and particularly dogs can bring to our lives.

Of course, Milo wasn’t going to let us do all the talking! 🐶

He worked his way around the room introducing himself in true Milo style, offering his famous paw shakes, soaking up plenty of pats and cuddles and putting lots of happy smiles on faces.

For people living with Alzheimers, positive interactions with dogs can provide opportunities for connection, companionship, sensory engagement and moments of joy, while also encouraging conversation and social interaction.

Today, Milo had the privilege of visiting the dedicated nursing angels of the Koala Ward 🐾💙

Every day, these incredible nurses give so much of themselves providing exceptional care, compassion, reassurance and strength to children and their families during some of their most challenging moments.

Today, it was Milo’s turn to care for those who care for others. 🐶💙

With his gentle nature, wagging tail, paw shakes and plenty of cuddles, Milo brought a few moments of calm, connection and smiles to the wonderful Koala Ward team. A reminder that the wellbeing of our healthcare professionals matters too.

At Miracle Paws, supporting the people who dedicate their lives to supporting others is one of our greatest privileges.

Book Week with a ROAR!

Book Week is a wonderful celebration of reading, imagination and storytelling and this year Milo proudly represented The Lion King!

Our very own King Milo brought plenty of smiles, laughter and a little extra magic to the classroom. 💙🐾

Because learning is always more fun with a Therapy & Wellbeing Dog by your side.

Milo had the best seat in the classroom for story time, right beside the teacher! He was completely captivated, listening along with the students and making story time that little bit more special.

Moments like these are about so much more than a story. Milo’s calm and comforting presence helps create a positive space where students can relax, connect and enjoy learning together.

Today, Milo had the very special privilege of meeting some of the most caring nursing angels at the Royal Children’s Hospital Cancer Ward. 🐾💛

These incredible nurses give so much of themselves every single day, bringing compassion, comfort and kindness to children and families during some of their toughest moments.

Milo was more than happy to return a little of that love with cuddles, pats and plenty of tail wags.

Sometimes the carers need a little caring too. 🐶🥰

To the beautiful nurses and healthcare team, thank you for everything you do. It was an honour for out team to spend time with you. ❤️🐾

We believe in nurturing future leaders by offering them experiences that build character, compassion and connection.

Leadership isn’t only about confidence or achievement. It’s about learning to be empathetic, compassionate, non-judgmental, patient and appreciative of every person we meet.

That’s why we believe in giving our younger generation opportunities to experience the work of Miracle Paws firsthand. Walking alongside an experienced therapy dog, meeting people from different generations and circumstances, offering a gentle pat or simply sharing a smile. These small moments teach some very big lessons.

We are not just mentoring future leaders. We are helping raise humans who understand that kindness is a strength, differences deserve respect and sometimes the most meaningful thing you can give another person is your presence.

And judging by these photos, our youngest team member and his four legged mentor Milo, make a pretty wonderful team. 🐾💙
