The transformation is now complete and I love her. Watch this space for her seasonal changes. Currently sporting her sun safe summer glam. I still have some leaves to add to the tree branches, but very happy with how she had evolved.

Things have progressed this week and after many double batches of paper mache cement, she is completely covered.
I have experimented with adding some hair, made from strips of old fabric, crocheted into ‘dreds’.

Next I think I’ll add some colour, but for now she needs to cure and dry out.

Bob got me some more PVA glue so I could make another double batch. She now has a torso. Only head and arms to go.

I have been working on the coaster holder for a couple of days. The coasters were a little bigger than the width of the holder so I had to carve it out to make them fit. While adding the named piece to the front of the holder 🫤 it broke, so I had to fashion a new one.
Now the set is ready for the kiln.

My new favourite thing. Plein Air Painting/Drawing. Our group had a class with Ben Winspear at Vintners Sectet and then I took a class with Kaz Stanton in Bundaberg.
