A Pre-Pointe Assessment is designed to assess whether a dancer has the strength, mobility, balance and control required to safely begin pointe work.

During the assessment we look at areas including:
• Foot and ankle strength
• Lower limb alignment and control
• Balance and stability
• Core and pelvic control
• Flexibility and range of motion
• Pointe-specific movement patterns

The aim isn’t simply to “pass or fail” — it’s to identify areas that may need a little more work and provide exercises to help your dancer prepare for the demands of pointe.

We have some more exciting news at The Osteo Express!! We have a new Osteopath joining the team!!!! 🤩

WELCOME JACK!! 👨🏻‍⚕️

Jack completed his Master of Health Science in Osteopathy at Victoria University. Growing up playing sport, he experienced firsthand the value of osteopathic care while navigating and working through his own injuries, which sparked a genuine interest in the field.

Combined with a love of anatomy and a natural drive to help people feel and move better, this set him on the path to a career in osteopathy.

Jack brings a strong structural approach to his treatments, with a growing interest in indirect techniques, adding to his already expansive clinical toolkit. He’s an eager learner, always looking for ways to continue expanding what he can offer to his patients.

Despite having only joined the team, Jack has already been nicknamed ‘the calm’ in our team - as composed and relaxed as they come 🙌

Outside the clinic, Jack enjoys golf and volleyball, and loves to travel whenever he gets the chance. He spends his downtime with his partner and their beloved GSP.

Jack is available with us Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.
