If there is one thing I have learned, reaching out and speaking to someone can make the world of difference.
October is Mental Health Awareness Month - mental health deserves a conversation, compassion, care and not silence or stigma.
Mental Health Month is a good reminder that small things count. A bath, a deep breath, a conversation with a friend.
This October check in on someone you love and check in on yourself too 💛

🥦 An old photo but still something I love to do - grow my own veggies and incorporate all my permaculture knowledge into Yarra Mist🌿

Not the biggest, but the taste is HUGE!

These gorgeous purple broccolis are straight out of my veggie patch. Here's my favourite way to cook them:
- cut broccoli into small florets
- add olive oil and garlic to a medium warm pan
- toss in the broccoli florets and cook, stirring constantly for 2-3 minutes
- eat hot. YUM!

Whilst I’m busy working behind the scenes lately thought I’d share the reason I started Yarra Mist and why it means so much to me and why I want to help others 💜 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A few years ago, I was unfortunately in a car accident that left me with some emotional and mental struggles. To help ease and relieve my symptoms, I put my 30 years of experience with essential oils to use, and created my own oils and sprays to ease my stress, anxiety and sleep issues. Friends and family soon started reaching out about my products for their own use too. I then decided to make a business out of it, and Yarra Mist was born. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have also studied Permaculture, which taught me how to garden and grow without chemicals and also reuse, repurpose and recycle. I aim to be as sustainable as possible, and any of my Yarra Mist ingredients that I grow here and use in my products are grown organically and without chemicals using permaculture principles. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I care about peoples emotional and mental wellbeing and discovered that being in nature is very healing and therapeutic. This is why I love having cows and chooks on the farm, and grow all of my own ingredients in my veggie garden. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thank you all for being part of the Yarra Mist journey 🌿
