For anyone who wonders what I do on holiday. Your support helps people unable to access the care that we can offer you and your kids get the help they need. Your support enables donation of me, time, materials, equipment and training local health professionals to do some things after I leave. This is me in Egypt, where I regularly come. Mobile podiatry takes on a while new meaning. Orthotic making in a metal workshop! Huge shout out to Ibrahim, Amir and Shawkat for working together with me to come up with a very creative solution using what we get and finding a space in a metalwork workshop to make these custom orthoses for the *most* extreme flexible flat feet I have ever seen, forefoot abduction at 45 degrees and I suspect possibly even weight bearing on talus. Never seen anything like it. 15yo boy.

For the pods: I donated my own Dola's and added extra RF varus +++, a 4mm eva MLA pad D shape to increase navicular support and EVA arch fill. Amazing result. I think this is a good way to progress in places such as this.

Facemasks will be required to be worn by all staff, practitioners and patients. The following general exemptions apply:

aged under 12 years or a student at primary school, or
a medical exemption certifies that the person has a physical or mental health, illness, condition or disability that makes the wearing of a face mask unsuitable
Other times when a person may remove there facemask during the lockdown period include:

communicating with a person who is deaf, or has impaired hearing, and visibility of the mouth is essential for the communication
wearing a face mask would create a risk to the health or safety of the person
clear enunciation, or visibility of the mouth, is essential as part of employment or training
consuming food, drink or medicine
undergoing medical care, or treatment, that can’t be provided while wearing a face mask
you are requested to remove your face mask by an authorised person
travelling in a vehicle alone,
there is an emergency and it is not practicable or safe to wear a face mask
you may lawfully remove, or are lawfully required to remove, the fitted face covering
you are working alone in an enclosed indoor or outdoor area, until another person enters the space
an exemption is provided by the Director of Public Health (or delegate).
A density of 1 person per 4 square metres will apply during this time
