Is your counsellor registered with either PACFA or ACA. If they are registered their name will be on the ARCAP register. And they will be adhering to the new national standards for counselling. www.arcap.com.au is a good place to check.

The practice is now closed until 9am on the 12th of May. I will be taking time away to relax and replenish, so I can come back ready to see you all and be of service with renewed energy.

Last night we celebrated 1 year in the new practice space in Middle Street. The practice is nearly 4 years old and now sees approximately 30 sessions happen each week. This year will an exciting one as I look forward to several more publications, more advocacy work with the PHN and much more. The practice will continue to offer some reduced rate and free sessions to people in need and will donate its space to a men's recovery group facilitated by a Smart Recovery Australia facilitator. It is very rewarding to see the vision of this practice start to truly fly. It's a space to come to when it's needed, a space where you matter and you will be met exactly where you are with respect and care and gentleness.
After a much needed break sessions begin again this week.

I wanted to jump on and say hello to you all. Whether you celebrate Christmas or you have different religious observances, things do grind to a halt around now and I want to wish you a time of peace and rest. Wherever you, with people or alone, why not have a think about how you have dealt with the year and what good things may be ahead in the new year. I. for one, am very much looking forward to seeing each and every person I work with, in the new year, and catching up with you. Sending you lots of love, Anna
