Hiring Qualified Vet Nurse @ The Rabbit & Bird Doctors

An exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced, qualified vet nurse to join our team at The Rabbit and Bird Doctors in Coburg North, Vic.

We are a veterinary practice that provides the rabbits, small herbivores, and feathered friends of Victoria with the very best quality veterinary care. We take a compassionate approach to all cases and work to educate the greater community on rabbit, avian care and welfare.

Our nurses are highly valued in our clinic, performing most, if not all, practical tasks able to be conducted by appropriately qualified individuals.

About you:

· You will need a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.

· The ideal candidate will be proactive in contributing to the advancement of our workplace culture, and consider themselves motivated, dedicated and inclusive.

· You ideally already hold, or be willing to obtain and maintain, VNCA registration/accreditation.

· You should have a strong passion for educating the community on species-specific care and welfare and take a warm, friendly approach to client care.

· You should be able to confidently conduct informed and educational nurse consultations.

· You will have a driven mindset you see what needs to be done, you take initiative action and you seek assistance or delegate when needed.

· An interest in Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Rats, and Birds is a must, having previous experience in these species isn’t a deal breaker.
