From months out of the gym to now feeling strong and confident in the gym!!!

This client works with me on a 1-1 basis for all her training and nutrition! Every week we’ve gotten in to do a training session together.
No matter how she’s feeling, she shows up and I push her limits for what she’s capable of.

In this time, my client has gained significant strength, training knowledge, muscle mass and confidence in her training.

Often PT sessions aren’t JUST about technique (although massively important), but also about training INTENSITY.
So many people walk out of the gym with so much missed opportunities for progressions in their lifts. Stopping 10 reps shy of what they were really capable of had they pushed themselves.

This client only has 2x full body sessions per week yet has achieved such impressive results.

I don’t go on holiday and suddenly forget how to look after myself… but I also don’t act like I’m in prep mode either 🤝🏼

There’s a middle ground that most people miss.

For me, it looks like:
• Keeping a few key supplements in (nothing crazy)
• Moving my body most days (even if it’s just a walk)
• Eating well where I can… and enjoying myself where I want

My non-negotiables on holiday:
- Protein still matters (no, you don’t need to live off croissants all day)
- Hydration (especially if you’re drinking more than usual)
- Electrolytes daily (game changer for energy, recovery + bloating)
- Magnesium at night for sleep + nervous system (because travel can throw you off)

That’s it.

No tracking every gram
No stressing over meals or beating myself up
No “I’ll start again when I’m home” mindset

Because the girls who get results long term don’t swing between extremes… they know how to keep structure without restriction.

You don’t need to be perfect on holiday.
But you also don’t need to completely lose yourself either. It’s the “yolo” eating, and forgetting to eat like you want to ACTUALLY look after your body that leads people to feeling like they’re at an all you can eat buffet everyday. You can enjoy yourself without eating like a 12 year old with a credit card.

If your goal is to actually build muscle, get stronger, and change your physique…
your workouts can’t just be “going through the motions”

This session is a good example 👇🏼
Nothing fancy. No crazy exercises.
But everything is done with INTENT.

• Glute focused back extensions → biasing the glutes, not just focusing the stretch
• Trap bar deadlifts → pushing heavy in a low rep range to build strength
• Belt squats → controlled reps to bias quads without loading the lower back
• Extensions → taking the muscle to fatigue, not just finishing the set

This is where most people go wrong…
They follow a program, but they don’t match the ex*****on or intensity it requires
And that’s exactly why they don’t see results

Muscle growth comes from:
✔️ Training close enough to failure
✔️ Controlling the tempo (especially the eccentric)
✔️ Progressing load or reps over time
✔️ Actually feeling the target muscle working (and no just not aiming for “the burn”)
Not just ticking off sets 🙃

You don’t need a “better” program
You need to learn how to get more out of the one you’re doing

That’s the difference I focus on with my girls
So they can actually build the physique and strength they’re chasing 🤍

8 weeks improvements for my nutrition client, Amber!

Massive changes yet only 2kg scale difference!

These results didn’t come from her being absolutely starving.

These results didn’t come from her doing hours and hours and hours of cardio.
These results didn’t come from her avoiding her weight training either.

Nor did it come from skipping date nights, and avoiding girls nights out.

Amber‘s transformation is a result of consistent efforts with her nutrition, her steps, her (eventual) small amounts of cardio, her water intake, her sleep, but also equally as important - her recovery.

For a long time I thought improving my health meant just being more disciplined.

Train harder.
Eat better.
Stick to the plan.

And while those things absolutely matter… I learned the hard way that they’re not the whole picture. And they might actually ruin the whole picture too…

There were periods of my life where I was training consistently, ticking off workouts, hitting nutrition targets - yet still feeling incredibly overwhelmed, anxious, and disconnected.

Because I was putting all of my energy into the visible parts of health…
and neglecting the invisible ones!!

My environment.
My stress levels.
The way I spoke to myself.
The quality of my relationships.
Whether I was mentally stimulated or just running on autopilot.
Whether I actually had space to process what was going on in my life.

When those parts of life are out of balance, it becomes very hard to stay consistent with healthy habits long term.

Not because you’re lazy.
Not because you “lack discipline”.
Not because you just need to “lock in bro”. (Smh)

But because your nervous system, your mindset, and your environment all influence your behaviour more than most people realise.

And that’s why I think health is so much deeper than just the gym.

It’s also about:
challenging your mind
setting meaningful goals
learning new things
building friendships that actually support you
taking care of your mental health

The gym can be an incredible outlet.
But lifting weights alone isn’t what builds a healthy life.

Sometimes the most important work happens outside of the gym entirely.

Do you find yourself giving up on your health and fitness goals? Normally it’s because you’ve set the bar to an extremely unrealistic standard.

You’ve set your daily to-do list based on what you saw your favourite influencer doing, or the newest pad protocols that you saw on TikTok or Facebook.

These unrealistic standards make you feel overwhelmed and lost.
I’ve seen this in a lot of ladies that come to me. Throwing everything at a wall and then unsurprisingly nothing sticks.

You’re forcing yourself to do exercise you don’t enjoy, or maybe just wayyyy too much of it, or maybe in a way that you’re not seeing any progression!

Forcing yourself to eat foods you don’t like, or over restricting. Then it alllll has what I normally call “the rubber band effect” - you pull out all the stops and pull completely against everything you enjoy until you “fling” the other way!

It’s not about fitting someone else’s ✨perfect✨routine. It’s about finding what works for you, your body, your lifestyle!!!
And that’s what I help my GHF girl gang do 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️
