Support at Home after hospital: what are your options?

When a loved one is admitted to hospital, many families assume they need to wait for a Support at Home package before help can start.

The good news is that isn’t always the case.

If additional support is needed after discharge, there may be options available while waiting for government funding, including private services and short-term support arrangements.

It’s important to speak with the hospital social worker or discharge planner early, as they can help connect you with services and ensure a safe transition home.

We enjoyed a scenic coastal drive, plenty of great conversation, and lunch together at Kingscliff Beach Hotel. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with everyone loving the opportunity to get out, connect and enjoy the beautiful local scenery.
