Yesterday morning I joined the wonderful sand artist Mal Leckie on the beach to welcome the Spring Equinox 🌼

As Mal created this beautiful artwork in the sand, I settled into its centre with the crystal bowls bringing sound into the space and welcoming the fresh energy of spring.

Such a joyful morning of creativity, connection and play, with the sand beneath us and the ocean stretching out in front of us.

A beautiful way to celebrate the turning of the season 🌿✨

This weekend I had the pleasure of visiting Tani Tei En, a beautiful private Japanese garden hidden in the Currumbin Valley that opens to the public only once every two years.

Walking through the garden brought back so many memories of Japan and my own journey with Reiki.

Japan and particularly Mount Kurama, known as the birthplace of Reiki has held a very special place in my heart for many years. It has been woven through more than three decades of teaching, healing and guiding students, and through the creation of my own lineage, Senju Kannon Usui Reiki.

It has been some time since I opened the Senju Kannon Reiki School to new students, but standing in the peace of this beautiful garden, I found myself wondering whether it might be time to open those doors again.

🦁 OPENING THE INTELLIGENT HEART 🦁

The Lion’s Gate Portal is often spoken about as a time of heightened energy, transformation and manifestation.

But perhaps the invitation isn’t simply to ask for more.

Perhaps it’s to become quiet enough to hear what your heart already knows.

The intelligent heart is not impulsive.
It doesn’t shout over the noise.
It speaks through resonance, truth and a deep inner knowing that can’t always be explained by the mind.

Opening the heart takes courage.

The courage to soften.
To listen.
To release what no longer feels true.
And to move towards what feels deeply aligned — even before you can see the entire path ahead.

As we move into the 8/8 Lion’s Gate tomorrow, take a moment to place your hands over your heart and ask:

✨ What am I ready to open to?
✨ What am I being called to release?
✨ What does my heart know that my mind keeps questioning?

You don’t need to force an answer.

Simply breathe, listen and allow your intelligent heart to lead.

There’s a lot moving through the collective right now…
you can probably feel it.

Everything just feels louder ~ the pace, the noise, the uncertainty in the air.
World unrest isn’t something we can simply switch off when it becomes too much.

But maybe, for a moment, you can choose to step back from it.

Put the phone down.
Turn off the news.
Take a breath away from the scroll.

And come back to yourself 💗

This New Moon feels like a gentle time for that…
a moment to use this energy to return inward.

Not to have answers.
Not to figure anything out.

Just to be here.

Back in your body.
Back in your own rhythm underneath everything else.

Because even if it’s loud out there…
it doesn’t have to be loud in here.

Just a quiet remembering…

You’re allowed to be here, exactly as you are.

To notice what feels true for you right now.
To be with what’s here.
