Not for the squeamish, but nonetheless quite interesting to see!
Lymph fluid and a little amount of plasma discharge are normal during the treatment and sometimes for a few hours afterwards. We like to avoid too much fluid because it dilutes the ink and may impact the healed results.
Some factors that can assist reduce the amount of fluid during and after the procedure are:
- Hydration both before and after the treatment.
- No coffee on the day of procedure.
- Avoid drinking alcohol for 24 hours prior to the procedure.
- Making sure you're healthy and feeling good on the day of your service.
- Informing your technician of any underlying autoimmune or circulatory disorders that may impede normal healing.
Your BYCT preparation information includes all of this and more in the hopes of providing you with the best possible result.
