At Wattle Street Dental, we believe dentistry is about more than teeth. Our holistic philosophy considers the relationship between oral health, breathing, sleep, airway, jaw development, tongue function, TMJ, dental materials and overall wellbeing.

We combine modern technology with thoughtful, patient-centred dentistry, including SMART safe mercury amalgam removal, CEREC same-day ceramic restorations, CBCT 3D imaging, ozone, laser-assisted root canal therapy, CGF (Concentrated Growth Factors), bone grafting and dental implants.

For children, we focus strongly on growth and development. Our services include early-intervention orthodontics, Biobloc orthotropics, myofunctional therapy, airway and breathing assessment, Damon braces and Invisalign.

We assess tongue-tie and oral restrictions based on function, not appearance alone, and provide Waterlase laser frenectomy treatment for infants, children and adults when clinically appropriate.

We also assess TMJ dysfunction, jaw pain, clenching and associated headaches. Management may include appliances, low-level laser/photobiomodulation therapy and, for selected patients, botulinum toxin (Botox®) to provide temporary relief of certain muscle-related TMJ symptoms and headaches.

Holistic care also means recognising when dentistry is only one part of the solution. We value multidisciplinary care and collaborate, where appropriate, with integrative doctors, ENT specialists, lactation consultants, speech pathologists, myofunctional therapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.

Our philosophy is to look beyond the tooth, understand the person, preserve natural tissue wherever possible, use technology where it adds value and give patients the information they need to make informed choices.
