I feel very strongly about this, as someone that has burned myself out right now in the health & beauty industry (I should know better, but I chose work>rest). Those of us that are recovering people pleasers and perfectionists push beyond our normal human limits sometimes and we have to remind myself that we are beautiful, and our work is beautiful but perfection does not exist. 🌈🦋🎨

YES it’s okay to sit down to eat lunch, drink water and take breaks.

YES it’s okay to work only during your scheduled work hours, and say no!

Glamorizing and praising hairstylists for working like mad during the holidays is complete bs. Just stop.

Stop promoting a way of life that will lead to burn out, frustration and pain. You are worth doing better for yourself!

Not going to lie, I don’t even do cut creases on myself - I don’t enjoy the time consuming process 😂 But I am grateful for being challenged and mentored by one of the best artists who nails cut creases 🙌
