Lately I’ve become deeply aware of the women in my life.

My mum. My sister. My closest friends.

The way feminine wisdom shows up — not loudly, not to fix or control — but through presence, listening, intuition, steadiness, and care. Especially when someone is struggling.

I feel profoundly held by the women around me, and I am so grateful for them. There is something ancient and beautiful about the way women support one another. 🤍

Women holding women is one of the most beautiful forces I know.

I’m not ending the year by listing achievements. I’m honouring what it asked of me.

2025 dismantled my life in ways I didn’t choose.

My landlord sold my home.
I lost my job.
And while working in dementia care, I faced the hidden costs of caring work — including situations that left my nervous system deeply shaken.

Everything familiar fell away.

And in that undoing, something quieter and truer emerged.

I now live in a home I love, in an area I’ve been drawn to for six years.
I’ve returned to dementia care — with clearer boundaries and deeper respect for nervous system safety.
And I’m expanding Kernow Serenity from a very different place.

Not from urgency.
But from regulation.

This year taught me that peace is not passive.
It is a practice.
A boundary.
A daily choice to listen to the body instead of overriding it.

So I’m entering the new year as a woman who prioritises nervous system safety above all else —
alignment over ambition,
gentleness over grind.

If your year has been more about survival than success, you’re not alone.

Here’s to slower growth, deeper roots, and lives that actually feel safe in 2026.

💚

🎁 My Christmas gift to you all..... an invitation to savour the positive experiences over Christmas, so that we can actually create new neural pathways that look for more positive experiences, as an antidote to our brains natural negativity bias.

It take milliseconds to store a negative memory, where as it takes longer (10-20 seconds) to store a positive one.

Savour the pleasurable moments. Stay with them for 20 seconds. Give your brain a chance to store that wonderful experience, so that it naturally starts to search for more of them.

Yuletide blessings to you all 🎄

This season reminds me to surrender and slow down. As we arrive at the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year, I’m reminded that darkness isn’t something to fear — it’s a gentle invitation to rest, reset, and reconnect with myself.

The new moon mirrors this energy beautifully: a quiet, velvety pause… a moment to release what no longer serves and plant intentions in soft soil. It asks us to trust the unseen, to honour the stillness before the light returns.

In the middle of the busy Christmas season, with its noise, planning, gatherings and expectations, I feel an even deeper pull toward peace. To breathe. To ground. To choose presence over pressure. To remember that I am allowed to take up space in stillness.

Tonight I lean into the calm, the candles, the silence, the soft glow of winter magic — grateful for the lessons this season brings.

And as the days slowly begin to lengthen again, I hold deep gratitude for the spirit of Christmas — for kindness, generosity, warmth, and the way it connects us all.

Mindfulness tip:

Placing hands onto the body and breathing into this space is an excellent way to focus attention. You can place hands onto the heart, the solar plexus or belly and feel the rise and fall as you breathe. Or even placing both hands on your own shoulders or legs can feel soothing, and if you can't feel the movement of the breath, you can focus on the weight of the hands.

Even just a moment of intentional stillness like this can shift you from "doing mode" into "being mode."

Sound therapy is one of the simplest ways to bring the nervous system back into balance — and the effects can be felt surprisingly quickly. Gentle vibration, sustained tones, and rhythmic sound waves work with the body’s own physiology, helping to guide the mind out of “fight-or-flight” and into a calmer, more regulated state.

Tuning forks, singing bowls, and gongs create frequencies that the body responds to instinctively. These sounds can slow the breath, soften muscle tension, and support a shift into the parasympathetic nervous system — the part of us responsible for rest, digestion, and healing. Many people notice improved clarity, deeper relaxation, and a sense of groundedness after just one session.

Because sound works through both the auditory system and the body’s sensory pathways, it can soothe an overwhelmed or overstimulated mind. It supports emotional release, lowers feelings of stress, and helps settle racing thoughts. Over time, regular sound therapy may improve sleep quality, enhance mood, and build greater resilience to daily stressors.

Whether through a tuning-fork treatment or immersing yourself in the waves of a gong or sound bath, sound therapy offers a gentle, accessible way to calm the nervous system and reconnect with inner balance.

✨️I have recently been reunited with my gong, with it being stored safely over the Summer whilst I figured out my living situation. I have played it every day, and the connection is beyond just the audible. The vibrations can be felt throughout the body, the light reflects and dances on the surface and my body moves in harmony with the resonance. The gong leads me. I imagine this is what it feels like to an artist who has been without their paintbrush, or a writer without their ink.

Working with sound has been a great teacher for me. Sound has cultivated my ability to listen, not only with my ears, but with all of my senses. Using sound as a portal to presence is a wonderful way to bring yourself into stillness and awareness.

I've been taking some time away from social media. I deleted it just before Christmas for the holidays and ended up finding that my head was so much clearer, and I haven't been back. I am actually posting this via Meta Business Suite... so I still don't have Instagram or Facebook on my phone.

I am still here, though, and you can message me on Insta and Messenger. I am still getting them via Meta business suite. Or email [email protected].

I've been more productive and spent more time with my son. The greatest change is how much more present I am in all areas of my life.

I'm not saying it's forever, but for now, I am enjoying the impact that removing it has had on me.

I hope you are all enjoying the New Year vibes and the pure magick that has been happening in the skies (have you seen how bright Mars is?...... and so many planets visible in the night sky ✨️)

On Sunday, we gathered for our women's circle and sound journey, and as always, there was a beautiful energy created by the strong, fabulous women who attended. Laughter and tears have become the norm, whilst every woman is free to share and feel supported by her sisters. It is a truly beautiful thing to be part of.

Sadly, I am having to be taking a break from circles for a short while, but I am still here to hold space for you. I will be emailing all of my women's circle attendees with a very special offer for my one to one therapies soon, so look out for that!

I will be back at ELM yoga soon; but for now, I am stretched a little too thin, and I have people in my personal life requiring more of my presence..... so I am taking the advice I would give to anyone else and giving myself some extra space and time.

Please send me a private message with your email address if you'd like to be added to my mailing list and receive news of what's happening in the New Year.

The power of sound is undeniable. We have all been transported to another moment in time whilst listening to a piece of music. It can literally change emotions and alter our state of mind.

Sound therapy carries us on a journey of another kind, accessing theta and delta brainwaves, taking us to a place of deep relaxation, to the same places we may visit during meditation or dreams.

Join me to experience the gong and the crystal bowls during my special Winter Women's Circle and Sound Journey on Sunday, 15th December (only 2 spaces remaining).
