One thing I've been thinking about lately is how careful we need to be with the advice we consume online.
You've probably heard the saying:
"Be mindful of taking advice from people who aren't living the life you're trying to create."
I think there's a lot of truth in that.
As a neurospicy woman raising three children under ten, I've noticed that a lot of the regulation advice floating around the internet simply doesn't fit the reality I'm living in.
Now, that doesn't mean it's bad advice.
In fact, a lot of it is brilliant.
But advice without context can be dangerous.
The other day I came across someone sharing incredible insights around fascia, nervous system healing and stored trauma. It was thoughtful. It was really valuable.
AND his reality and my reality are worlds apart.
The framework of a man with one newborn baby is very different from the framework of a woman managing multiple children, a household, a business, and neurodiversity within the family.
The advice isn't wrong.
It's just not designed for my circumstances.
And that's a piece that is important to speak to.
We consume content from people online and then wonder why we can't implement it, why it feels impossible, or why we end up feeling like we're somehow failing.
You're not failing.
The advice might simply be missing the context of your life.
This is why personalised support matters.
When you sit down with an experienced coach, a practitioner, or someone trained to support you, they aren't giving generic strategies.
They're looking at where you're at.
Your nervous system.
Your capacity.
Your responsibilities.
Your challenges.
Your season of life.
And then helping you build something that actually works within the reality you're living.
So by all means, take inspiration from the internet.
Just remember that the best advice isn't always the advice that's trending.
It's the advice that's tailored to you.
Sometimes what we're missing isn't more information.
It's support that honours where we are right now.
If you're craving a space where you can be seen, supported, and guided in a way that considers your unique circumstances, I'd love to walk alongside you.
