Jackie’s focus areas for psychology clients include:

Got an NDIS participant who needs reliable support?

We currently have capacity for new NDIS participants across the Bass Coast Shire… Cowes, Wonthaggi, Grantville, and surrounds.

We can support participants with things like:

• Community access & social participation
• Appointments and errands
• Shopping and meal preparation
• Household tasks
• Personal care
• Building independence and daily living skills
• Transport and getting out into the community
• Overnight and flexible support

But most importantly, we focus on finding the *right* support worker for the individual — someone reliable, compassionate and genuinely suited to *their* personality, goals and needs.

If you’re a Support Coordinator, allied health professional, family member, or NDIS participant yourself looking for a dependable support-worker, we’d love to hear from you.

📩 Send us a message to discuss current capacity or make a referral.

Supporting people to live more independently, participate in their community and get more out of everyday life.

Trigger warning….

Cost of living is hitting everyone hard. At BCDS we have several staff with additional qualifications in mental health as well as myself (Jackie) the Director being a fully registered psychologist.

I chose to become a psychologist after my father committed su***de shortly after finding out about a trauma I experienced as a child. Further trauma then continued into adulthood. So I really get the impact of mental health and strive to pass that onto my team so our clients can be well supported.

Today would have been my Dad’s birthday. And he would be so proud of how I have made it a point to make sure that my life has meaning and I get to help people.

At BCDS our team love collaborating with your support coordinator and health professionals, exploring community services to ease today’s financial stressors, lending a supportive ear and going the extra mile where we can.

If you are struggling then consider calling Lifeline. And if you think you know someone who could use a check in then give them a call or a message. It doesn’t have to be “R U OK Day” to ask if someone is OK.
