One of the questions I get asked all the time is:
“What are the benefits of PEMF for my horse?”
And honestly — the answer can look a little different for every horse.
☆ For younger horses
PEMF can help support growing bodies, recovery after work, muscle function, flexibility, and overall balance through the body. It’s commonly used to help maintain comfort and support performance in horses that are training, competing, or developing strength and coordination.
☆ For older horses
Older horses often benefit from PEMF by supporting circulation, mobility, joint comfort, stiffness, and general wellbeing. Many owners notice their horses seem more relaxed, freer in movement, and more comfortable after sessions.
☆ Recovery and muscle support
PEMF is commonly used to support recovery after exercise, help with areas of tension, and assist the body’s natural healing processes.
☆ A non-invasive, drug-free option
One of the reasons I love PEMF is that it’s gentle, non-invasive, and suitable for a wide range of horses — from performance horses to retirees.
☆ Every horse responds differently
Some horses become very relaxed during treatment, some release tension through licking, yawning, stretching, or lowering their head, while others show changes over the following days as the body adjusts.
Another common question is:
“How long does a session take?”
A standard PEMF session for a horse is usually around 1 hour. This allows enough time to work through the whole body and focus on any areas needing extra attention.
Every horse is different, and each session is tailored to what that individual horse needs on the day. 🐎
