Atypical Solutions participants and support staff participated in a community access excursion to Seaford Beach.
Participants were supported to engage with the beach environment and explore a range of sensory experiences, including walking on the sand, collecting shells and building sandcastles. Participants also observed and interacted appropriately with a dog that was playing nearby and wanted its stick thrown.
Participants experienced the outdoor environment, including the beach, sunshine and surf, and were supported to engage at their own pace. The group also had lunch from a local fish and chip shop.
Participants were supported throughout the excursion to engage in community participation, social interaction and recreational activities in a safe and supported environment.
