Healthy lifestyle habits are especially important while using TRT because testosterone replacement therapy is not a substitute for the fundamentals of good health.
TRT is designed to restore testosterone to an appropriate physiological range when a deficiency has been medically confirmed. It does not replace the benefits of regular strength training, adequate sleep, nutritious food, healthy body composition, stress management and recovery. These habits help create the environment in which the body can function at its best and can support energy, fitness, metabolic health and overall wellbeing.
In simple terms, TRT can be one part of the equation, but your daily habits determine much of the environment in which that treatment is working. The goal should not be to rely on TRT to compensate for poor lifestyle choices, but to combine appropriate medical treatment with sustainable healthy habits.
