✨ Your future isn’t written. You get to write it.
Have you ever wondered what happens inside your body when stress becomes an ongoing experience?
When the brain perceives danger, it activates the fight–flight–stress response. Adrenaline and other stress hormones are released, breathing and heart rate can change, muscles become ready for action and the body shifts its resources towards survival.
That response is designed to be temporary.
But when the body is repeatedly exposed to stress, the nervous system can spend more time in a heightened state of alert.
The image above shows some of the stress physiology and the common symptoms or conditions that can be associated with prolonged stress.
Our health is complex and there are many contributing factors.
But it does highlight something incredibly important:
Your nervous system matters.
And the experiences your body has been through don’t have to determine what happens next.
Learning to understand your body, recognise stress patterns and support your nervous system can be a powerful part of creating change.
This is one of the reasons I’m so passionate about helping people understand their bodies through Spinal Flow Technique.
Your story isn’t finished.
Your future isn’t written.
You get to write it. 💫
