Reflection: Sri V. Ganesan shares in Ramana Periya Puranam how Bhagavan cared for his devotees with a mother’s love, a father’s protection, a teacher’s guidance, and a friend’s warmth. By trusting the Guru and surrendering our doubts, the mind can become quiet. In that quietness, we become open to the Guru’s guidance and Grace.

Reflection: Do not let thoughts disturb your peace. You are not the mind, but the ever-present Silence that remains untouched by its movements. Turn inward and rest as that unchanging Awareness. — Satsang of 29th May 2024

When you want to explain someone who is living in ego mode, you have to use these terms, like if you are moving from ego to Self, from personhood to pure presence, from doership to witness. How your mind will contemplate truth, there is no other way.

We use words, but they are not most appropriate. But they are, I would say, more closer towards truth because no word can explain truth. It is so hard to explain. Only you can experience. And that experience is nothing but silence.

When you pay attention to that silent awareness and your mind becomes a vestigial organ, unused, it is only holding forward as long as there is I thought, there is ego. In your vigilance, in your awareness, in your awakening, in your heightened awareness, everything is—

Right now, we give importance to this word, people, family, job, our long list of to-do list, desires, attachments, aversions. In a moment, in a second, in one go, everything drops. It is like flipping the coin. Everything is Brahman. Rather than seeing from these eyes, you see from the eyes of wisdom.

Reflection: Bhagavan expresses in Akshara Mana Malai, Verse 45 that even a little effort can lead to the realisation of the Self through Arunachala’s Grace. Our efforts alone cannot bring the Truth within our grasp. When the heart turns inward with sincerity and surrender, Grace leads us to discover what has always been within us.

What I am talking about, very less number of people practice because right now in this modern world, the most common techniques are mindfulness or some type of meditation. And, you know, in meditation, you need ego and you meditate on an object, something. There is duality in meditation.

Eventually, all types of meditation will take you here, where we start. We start where all meditations, one at some stage has to reach there. Otherwise, there is no purpose in meditating.

Meditator has to disappear.

So this is not meditation. Self-inquiry is not meditation. There is no subject-object here. Though we speak like that, paying attention to awareness, aware of awareness. But the one, this attention to awareness, only awareness is aware of awareness.

Reflection: Keep the awareness of your sacred Source even while speaking, working, and moving through daily life. The Self is One alone, and nothing exists outside of It. When this understanding becomes clear, you begin to see the same Presence in every person and everything around you. Rest in that Awareness and let every moment remind you of the One Self. — Satsang of 27th May 2024

The body is already preset on auto mode. It's doing what it has to do. And you are the Brahman which is giving energy. No need of a middleman.

This ego, it is useless. Ego gives itself self-importance to exist. We all can know that, isn't it? That how sometimes unnecessarily we try to give our self-importance in our family, our work culture, wherever, in different ways.

Sometimes when the ways are very gross, obvious, we call that person egoistic. Everyone is egoistic. Others do it in subtle way. Others don't show that much because they feel that it will not be good for their image. That is also ego.

Understand how this ego plays tricks to stay alive. Only thing which can kill it is by constant attention to Brahman, because the moment you are attentive to Brahman, you are Brahman.

And you can't be two.

And the duality starts disappearing.

Reflection: Bhagavan teaches in Talk 347 that the mind is made up of thoughts, and all thoughts arise from the thinker, the ego. When we ask, “Who am I?” and look for the source of this ego, it cannot remain. By finding the root of the thoughts, the mind naturally becomes quiet.

Reflection: There is no need to fight or resist what appears in life. The Self is not discovered through more actions or thoughts, but by becoming still and turning inward. When the mind becomes quiet, the false sense of “I” begins to dissolve and the true Self shines naturally. To rest in this Silence is to awaken to the eternal Presence that has always been within you. — Satsang of 27th May 2024

If you see truly, a Gyani lives life as it is. Rest all are dreaming. Rest whole world is an illusion. They are doing research work in this dream, wars in this dream, love-making in this dream, ambitions in this dream, suffering in this dream. They finish one dream and the other dream starts.

And we all know dream means we are sleeping. That is why knower of knowledge is considered awakened. Jagrat Purush, we call it awakening. We also call it Aman, without mind. No mind state.

Let all your sense organs, perception going on. But keep your attention on the witness of all whatever is happening within you. Thought, emotions, feelings, someone talking to these thoughts. Watch this ego. Watch everything.

In a person completely in illusion, his mind and his Self, they are like water and milk mixed. They look one. This separation comes with our understanding, reflecting on truth, contemplating on truth, practicing on truth all the time.

When you wake up in the morning, you walk, you see, you do. Do in that utter silence, inner silence.

See that things are just happening. You are not doing. Nobody is doing.

Doership might be there, let it be. See, watch the doership. You're watching the doership will finish the doership.
