Did you know that heart disease is the leading cause of death among women worldwide? It's time to break the stereotype that it's only a "man's disease." Let's raise awareness about women's heart health.

🩺 Know the Signs: Heart attack symptoms can be different in women. Chest pain isn't always the main indicator. Look out for neck, jaw, or back discomfort, breathlessness, nausea, and unusual fatigue.

Hear from St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney cardiologist Professor Jason Kovacic, as he urges women to know their heart health status and symptoms of heart disease.

in 1984, Dr Victor Chang leads his team at St Vincents' Hospital Sydney to perform life-changing heart surgery on Fiona Coote. Fiona's heart was weakened after complications of viral-induced tonsillitis. After a public appeal by her parents to find a matching donor, she became Australia's second and youngest heart transplant recipient at 14.

"To be feeling so well and healthy is phenomenal, this is an incredible day for me."

Today Fiona is the longest-surviving heart transplant recipient in the southern hemisphere.
