Well, this article is certainly disappointing, but of course the NT News does love a bit of drama. As I explained in the five minute phone call I had with the writer, we have NEVER DONE HATE SYMBOLS and we never will. I hate how the headline makes us sound like we’re sadly standing down from our previously roaring trade in sw****ka tattoos. We literally explain on our FAQ on the website what we will and won’t tattoo, and that hasn’t changed since we opened. I’m happy for people who want those kinds of tattoos to whine about the intolerant left because the best studio in Darwin won’t touch them, thanks.

I’ve been in this game since the early 90s and frankly, I don’t know any legitimate tattoo artists or studios who would do tattoos like the one in question.

Visiting from Melbourne, Paul has a background in visual arts and a love for all things tattooing (as well as cars, fishing, and aquariums).
