Gosh, my page has gone through a lot of changes. I look forward now to showcasing the most beautiful natural places in Darwin- because this is what we should be celebrating. Growing up I was surrounded by people who were cheering on the next development- so Darwin could 'grow'. But over the years we have seen how much Darwin has shrunk- high pollution, high crime, less green spaces. I don't remember Darwin like that. Something now tells me the chop has to stop, we should respect indigenous cultural significant places- not build on them. We need to preserve what makes Darwin- Darwin: the place we love.

I love spaces like this. We come together, gather around and just be. They are natural open spaces- not human made as such. They are spaces our kids can enjoy and also learn about their cultural heritage and feel proud of where they belong. We hope to see you there.

I spent approximately 2 hours walking along the fenceline of the Ludmilla bushblock.
This film brings together moments from that walk.
I began from Harney Street, making my way towards Fitzer Drive, and continued around the edge — following what is still accessible.
Filmed in real time, with original sound — no music, no narration — just the movement, the ground, the water, the air, and what revealed itself along the way.

I noticed patterns forming.
I slowed down, sometimes staying in one place longer than expected.
There were moments where I felt I should move on — and moments where I stayed.
Observing what is still here.
There was a time I could enter this space.
Now I remain along the fenceline.

This is a reflection of that experience.

I began this walk from Harney Street, making my way towards Fitzer Drive, following the fenceline of the Ludmilla bushblock.

This is a documentation of what is still here.

Filmed in real time, with original sound — no music, no narration — just the movement, the ground, the water, the air, and what reveals itself along the way.

I stay outside the fence.
Looking in, and also noticing what exists along the edge — where the bush meets the road, where water moves freely.

I noticed small details, symbols, and patterns beginning to appear. I took the time I needed and walked slowly, allowing my observations and curiosity to guide me.
