NATIONWIDE DAY OF ACTION THIS SATURDAY 25th MAY CALLING FOR AN END TO MILITARY TRADE WITH ISRAEL

Garramilla/Darwin: 12-1pm Parliament House

On Saturday, 25th May, Palestine solidarity groups, community groups and Trade Unionis will hold rallies in every city across the country as part of a national day of action.

These mass demonstrations are aimed at aiding the Palestinian people against genocide. Israeli military aggression must stop. The Australian government continues to provide political, economic, and military support to Israel. If governments won’t act to end the genocide - the people will!

This rally is demanding:
- Shipping companies operating in all Australian ports to declare any trade or cargo with Apartheid Israel.
- Impose an arms embargo and trade sanctions on the state of Israel.
- State governments to withdraw the charges against MUA and other union officials and activists advocating for a ceasefire and an end to the genocide in Gaza.

The NT Labour Government is planning on passing apartheid legislation with support from the Country Liberal Party.

We have to let them know that we oppose the Police Amendment Bill (The Curfew Legislation).

The bill will ensure that the Police Commissioner has absolute power, to make curfews, anytime, anywhere in the NT. The bill will also allow for the Anti-Discrimination Act to be suspended, so that the Curfew can target people based on age, race, gender, sexuality, ability and/religion.

This is simply apartheid legislation and a knee-jerk reaction to get votes in the upcoming NT Election.

Call Potter and Lawler. Tell them how you feel. Tell them they will not get your vote because of this Bill.
