Super proud last night! 🥹💙 We got the biggest surprise when Bodhi was announced as the Darwin Athletics Club 2026 7-Year-Old Boys Champion! 🏆🥇

This is only Bodhi’s second year competing, which makes tonight even more special. I still remember at the end of last season, watching all the trophies being handed out, when he looked at me and asked, “Mum, how do I win one?” 🥹

I told him, “You turn up every week, you try your hardest and you always do your best.”

And that’s exactly what he did. 💙 He showed up week after week, worked hard, kept trying and gave everything his best…and tonight, all that hard work and effort paid off!

To see him standing there with his very own trophy, just one year after asking me how he could win one, was such a proud mum moment. 🥹🏆

You earned this, Bodhi. We are so incredibly proud of you! 💙⭐️ Thank you to Bodhi’s coach Dylan and all the team at DAC - we couldn’t do it without you! 🥰

For those clients who remember Mum sitting at reception, where she worked every day for the last six years of her life, today would have been her 78th birthday. ❤️

Mum was so loved and incredibly popular with our clients. She always had a cheeky comment, a quick laugh, or something to say that would put a smile on someone’s face. She brought so much warmth and personality to reception, and I know many of you will still remember her fondly.

Eight years have passed, but we still love and miss you every single day, Mum.

Mother’s Day 2026! 💞

My day started with a trip to the Casuarina Aquatic Centre for Bodhi’s swim training with the Darwin Surf Life Saving Club 🏊‍♂️. Then we headed to the Darwin International Airport✈️ to say goodbye to Dave’s dad, Bob Bruce, who came to help out at our property after Darwin’s huge wet season. 🌧️

After that, it was a quick trip to the shops for some fun toys from Smiggle, before heading home to spend the afternoon tinkering in the garden while Bodhi played on the trampoline and in the pool. 💦

These are some of the new plants I bought myself for Mother’s Day! 🌿💐

Eight years without you, Mum, and not a day goes by that I don’t think of you or miss you deeply. I still remember holding your hand and being there as you took your last breath - a moment that will stay with me forever.

You were my best friend, my comfort, and my strength. Life hasn’t been the same without you, but your love still guides me every day.

I hope you know how much you’re loved and missed, always.
