Yesterday morning was all about memories on a plate ❤️

Big thanks to Ton’s Bistro at Dinah for the beautiful catering and Blooming Nice Mon Barlow for the lovely flower arrangements that made the morning extra special 🌸

While there was no info session today, it was wonderful just spending quality time together at Palmerston Water Park, courtesy of Northern Territory Government and Live Saving NT. Seeing our members enjoy the relaxed family vibe while the little kids laughed and played in the water splash area was truly the highlight.

Our April morning tea was a little extra special ☕💛

Instead of one information session, we had three! And we were so pleased to welcome three families living with dementia. It made for such a warm, supportive and meaningful gathering.

A big thank you to our wonderful speakers:

• Brendan (Towards Horizon) – Behaviour support
• Rafaela – Mindfulness and its benefits

We truly appreciate you sharing your knowledge and supporting our community of people living with dementia and their carers.

We’re also very grateful to Dementia Alliance NT for the delicious treats from Lips Cafe, and to City of Palmerston for the community venue.

Looking forward to seeing you all again on May 9th! 💛

Caring for someone with dementia means loving someone who's slowly becoming a stranger. It's answering the same question seventeen times, navigating heartbreak in slow motion, and grieving someone who's still here but slipping away.

It's one of the hardest caring journeys there is.

Carers NT provides specialised dementia support: respite care that understands cognitive decline, education so you're not learning through trial and error, and emotional support from people who get the complexity.

You don't have to figure this out alone. You don't have to be strong every single moment. And you definitely don't have to pretend this isn't incredibly hard.

Our February Memory on a Plate: Love, Friendship & Connection was a wonderful success!

A big shout out to Top End Zumba Crew and Zumba Sistas Darwin for sharing their groovy moves and bringing such great energy to the day.

Thank you to all our participants for making it so special — and our plant swap was a huge success too! What a fun and joyful morning.
