🍴 **Global Kitchens has been on the move!**

For the last two weeks, we’ve stepped outside our usual commercial kitchen and changed things up with some special cooking adventures!

First up, we headed outdoors for a BBQ session, making chicken skewers, chilli corn and fresh homemade coleslaw. Everyone got involved, tried new things and the food was SO good!

Then last week, we took over Art Escape for a very special High Tea. Our crew spent the morning preparing all the little goodies, setting everything up and, of course, enjoying the finished result together.

One of our favourite things about Global Kitchens is that it’s not *just* about learning to cook.

It’s about building confidence, trying new things, developing everyday skills, working together and having fun along the way. 💛

Next week we’re back in the commercial kitchen… but we definitely have more Global Kitchens adventures planned!

Three awards. Three reminders that courage pays off.

When Ezra joined Diverse Ventures, they had a passion for photography and a dream of turning it into something more.

Since then, they’ve stepped outside their comfort zone time and time again…building a business East Coast Pet and Wildlife Photography, putting their work out into the world, and now… being recognised with three Highly Commended awards at the Pine Rivers Show! 📸🏆

Success doesn’t come from waiting until you feel ready.

It comes from taking the next brave step.

We couldn’t be prouder of everything Ezra has achieved and the confidence they’ve built along the way. This is exactly why Diverse Ventures exists—to help young people discover what’s possible when they’re supported to pursue what they love.

We’re incredibly honoured to have received a Queensland Day Award in recognition of the work we do at Marching Forward.

What makes this award so special is that it represents something much bigger than Lou and me.

It belongs to every young person who has trusted us, every family who has invited us into their journey, and every incredible member of our team who shows up each day with compassion, patience and heart.

Seven years ago, Marching Forward began from lived experience and a simple hope…to create the kind of support we wished had existed. A place where participants feel safe, seen and heard, and where families feel genuinely supported too.

Seeing that vision recognised is incredibly humbling.

Thank you to Nikki Boyd MP for this honour, and congratulations to all of the other amazing recipients making a difference in our community.

Here’s to continuing to build connection, confidence and belonging for many more years to come.

Our Saturday Social Club is here!

A warm, welcoming space where kids and teens (5–15) can just be themselves — make friends, try new things, and feel safe, seen and heard. 💛

Every Saturday in Mango Hill, they'll dive into:
🍳 Cooking & healthy food choices
🎨 Art & creativity
🏀 Sport & outdoor games
🎲 Board games & real connection

And here's the part we're proudest of — food and every activity are completely included. The NDIS doesn't fund those, so we cover them ourselves, because we never want cost to be the reason a child misses out.
