No two days look quite the same.

The morning might begin at the clinic, the afternoon could bring something completely unexpected, and tomorrow may look different again. That variety is part of what draws so many clinicians to remote health.

With NTRLP, bring your experience—and expect to keep learning.

At NTRLP, we work with remote Aboriginal Medical Services, not around them.

Our approach is built on respect, collaboration and listening. We believe the best healthcare comes from being guided by community voices.

What we offer:
> Short-term placements (3–12 weeks).
> Qualified GPs, nurses, oral health professionals and audiologists.
> All health professionals receive cultural and clinical orientation before placement.
> 24/7 wraparound support.

When you request support from NTRLP, you’re not just filling a shift, you are providing continuation of quality care.

Together, we’re building stronger, more connected remote health services, led by the communities we serve.

Funded by the Australian Government, the NT Remote Locum Program supports better health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Community Feature | Adelaide River

This month, we're shining a spotlight on Adelaide River, a historic township located just over an hour south of Darwin.

Surrounded by natural beauty and rich history, Adelaide River is more than just a stop along the Stuart Highway—it's a welcoming community where healthcare professionals have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while experiencing life in the Top End.

Working in communities like Adelaide River is about more than providing healthcare. It's about building relationships, supporting local people and becoming part of a community, even if only for a short time.

At NTRLP, we're proud to connect healthcare professionals with communities across the Northern Territory, helping ensure access to quality care where it's matters most.

"The people. The places. The adventures, the laughs, the sights and the sounds. There is nothing quite like it."

For Oral Health Therapist Colette Berlin, every NTRLP placement is an opportunity to make a lasting difference.

Whether she's working from a community health centre, a mobile dental truck or a makeshift clinic in a classroom, Colette is passionate about helping children build healthy smiles and positive experiences that will stay with them for life.

"I'm not just fixing teeth; I'm shaping how children feel about dental care for years to come."

It's the unique communities, incredible landscapes and meaningful connections that keep Colette returning to remote practice.

When asked what she'd say to other health professionals considering NTRLP, her answer is simple:

"Why are you waiting? Go for it!"
