🌻Encouraging inclusivity, acceptance and understanding of those with hidden disabilities 🌻

🌻 We're starting our Sunflower journey! 🌻

The paranaple arts centre is proud to begin its journey as a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower venue, helping to create a more inclusive and supportive experience for all visitors.

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a recognised symbol that allows people living with non-visible disabilities to discreetly indicate that they may need additional support, understanding, or a little extra time during their visit.

Our team has undertaken training and is learning more about how we can better support visitors with hidden disabilities, ensuring everyone feels welcomed, respected and able to enjoy our spaces with confidence.

This is just the beginning, with the Bass Strait Maritime Museum and paranaple Convention Centre also set to commence their Sunflower journey soon.

Together, we're working towards creating more accessible and inclusive experiences across our venues.

Today we're proudly wearing our jeans to help raise awareness and support the incredible work being done to improve the lives of children and families affected by genetic conditions.

A huge thank you to our amazing team for getting involved, showing their support, and proving that even a simple pair of jeans can help make a difference. 💙

Winter has officially arrived, and with the cooler weather comes a couple of changes to our weekly program lineup.

🥣 Soup & Play is here for Winter!
Our Tuesday afternoon Sizzle & Play sessions are moving indoors for the winter months and becoming Soup & Play. Join us each week for a warm cup of soup, indoor activities, board games, and plenty of opportunities to connect with others in the community.

🍲 Free Soup Fridays Return!
We're also excited to bring back Free Soup Fridays in the Foodshed. Every Friday throughout winter, pop in for a free cup of homemade soup.

Alongside these seasonal changes, we've still got all your favourite programs running throughout the week, including Monday Mosaics, Cafe Monday and Thursday, Craft, Cuppa & Chat, Playgroup, Teen-A-Rama, Foodshed, and more!

A big congratulations to Janice, who took out our “Guess How Many Lollies in the Jar” competition at yesterday’s expo! 🍬✨

Janice guessed 136, and with the actual number being 144, she was the closest of them all (without going over!)
