Paramount Disability Support currently has an exciting Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) vacancy in Devonport!

This beautifully presented, fully SDA-compliant home offers a welcoming and comfortable living environment, with the opportunity to share with a friendly, easy-going housemate.

The current resident is an older gentleman who would love to share his home with someone who enjoys the simple pleasures in life!

💙 Important Road Closure Notice 💙

🚧 Road Closure Notice – Tarleton Road, Tarleton 🚧

Latrobe Council advises that culvert replacement works are scheduled at the Cockers Creek crossing on Tarleton Road, Tarleton.

To allow the works to be completed safely, the following temporary traffic arrangements are expected:

🟠 One-lane traffic
📅 Monday, 5 October to Monday, 12 October 2026

🔴 Full road closure – no through traffic
📅 Monday, 12 October to Monday, 9 November 2026

🟠 One-lane traffic
📅 Monday, 9 November to Friday, 27 November 2026

🚗 During the full road closure, detour signage will be in place. Local access will be maintained where safe and practical.

Road users are asked to follow all temporary traffic management signage and directions from traffic controllers, allow additional travel time and take care when travelling through the area.

Please note that all dates are subject to weather and site conditions.

Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks the community for its patience and cooperation while these essential works are completed.

Paramount Disability Support is excited to be attending the Devonport ‘Gearing Up’ Expo on Tuesday, 29 September at the Paranaple Convention Centre.

We’ll have our own stall on the day, so come along, explore the wide range of services and supports on offer, and be sure to stop by our stall and say hello 👋🏻

This is a great opportunity to connect, ask questions, meet local providers and learn more about the choices available within our community.

🌻Encouraging inclusivity, acceptance and understanding of those with hidden disabilities 🌻

🌻 We're starting our Sunflower journey! 🌻

The paranaple arts centre is proud to begin its journey as a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower venue, helping to create a more inclusive and supportive experience for all visitors.

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a recognised symbol that allows people living with non-visible disabilities to discreetly indicate that they may need additional support, understanding, or a little extra time during their visit.

Our team has undertaken training and is learning more about how we can better support visitors with hidden disabilities, ensuring everyone feels welcomed, respected and able to enjoy our spaces with confidence.

This is just the beginning, with the Bass Strait Maritime Museum and paranaple Convention Centre also set to commence their Sunflower journey soon.

Together, we're working towards creating more accessible and inclusive experiences across our venues.
