🌟Welcome Back to Scouts Danny 🌟

This Thursday marks a special milestone as Danny returns to Scouts. Supported by his Support Worker Cam and Support Coordinator Bec, who worked together to help make his return possible.

For Danny, Scouts is more than just an activity. It's a place where he's built lifelong friendships, learned new skills and been part of a community he loves.

"I'm so happy to be going back to Scouts this week!"

Danny says his favorite things about Scouts are:
⭐ Learning new skills
⭐ Catching up with lots of friends
⭐ Being part of a group he's belonged to for many years

As an Assistant Leader, Danny enjoys helping the younger Scouts throughout the day and teaching practical skills, including how to tie different knots using ropes.

One of his proudest achievements is being a Team Leader, wearing a special leadership uniform and working towards earning higher-level badges.
Danny also loves the social side of Scouts, from group outings and community activities to special events like the Scouts Christmas dinner.

We're incredibly proud of Danny and can't wait to hear all about his adventures this term. 🎉

Did you Know?

New accessible beach paths have been installed at Mentone, Chelsea, Aspendale and Mordialloc beaches.

These new paths bridge the final stretch across the sand down to the water making it accessible to people using wheelchairs, mobility scooters, older people and prams.

Two beach wheelchair lockers are set to be installed in the coming months to make a trip to the beach more inclusive and accessible to as many people as possible.

At Support Chain, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to connect with their community and enjoy the things they love.

Emily recently completed the Kingston Kickstarters Community Leadership Program, an initiative designed to empower local leaders to create stronger, more inclusive communities.

Anyone who knows Emily knows how passionate she is about helping people achieve their goals, advocating for participants, and supporting those around her. Her dedication, compassion and leadership shine through everything she does.

A quick reminder that Support Chain will be closed on Friday, 25 September for the AFL Grand Final public holiday.

Welcome Emma to the Support Chain team.

Emma is a recently graduated Enrolled Nurse and brings a bright, warm and person-centered approach to every participant she supports.

With experience assisting individuals with personal care and everyday support needs, Emma is passionate about helping participants feel comfortable, respected and supported in their own home.

Emma loves building meaningful relationships, enjoys new challenges and brings her nursing knowledge and genuine care into her work with participants.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys travelling, fitness, reading and cheering on the Western Bulldogs — a love that has been handed down from her Grandma.

We’re excited to welcome Emma to the Support Chain team. Emma is now available to support participants with personal and in-home care. 💙

Training Update

We're proud to share that almost all of our Support Chain team have recently completed their First Aid and CPR training, with our final team member scheduled to complete theirs soon.

Continuous learning is an important part of delivering exceptional support, and this training helps ensure our staff have the essential skills and confidence needed to support our NDIS participants safely and effectively.

A big congratulations to our dedicated team for their commitment to professional development and participant wellbeing. We look forward to celebrating 100% completion very soon!

We are pleased to introduce our New Support Worker Brooke.
Brooke is a caring, approachable and reliable Support Worker who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Supporting and caring for close relatives, along with her special bond with her Nan, has always been an important part of Brooke’s life and has helped shape her natural patience, compassion and understanding.

Brooke brings a warm and positive approach to her work, taking the time to build genuine relationships and provide thoughtful, personalised support that helps Clients feel valued, comfortable and confident.

Outside of work, Brooke enjoys Pilates, playing netball, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
